WBPC Garden

April 2015

Growing Again

The garden is filled with a variety of squash,  tomatoes, onions, peppers, beets and beans.  A new item in the garden this year are shiitake mushrooms.   The mushroom spores are imbedded in logs and then grow over a long period of time.  It will be fun to watch these logs for signs of mushrooms during 2015.  There is still time to sign up for a new year of gardening and enjoying fresh produce.  We look forward to seeing everyone at the garden.   Join the garden and enjoy high quality fresh food.  It is one of the best ways to invest 10 Hours.

Plant a Row for the Hungry

Again this year Seeds of Faith Garden is sharing our bounty with those less fortunate.  Fresh produce will be delivered to Logan’s Hardware for distribution for feeding the hungry in our community.

Water, Water, Everywhere

Seeds of Faith needs watering volunteers.  Watering our newly planted vegetables and mushrooms is an easy way to complete the 10 hour volunteer requirement.  Contact Keith Cassel at 919-851-6508 or dkc919@gmail.com for further information.

"Staying close to the soil is good for the soul." Hope to see you in the garden.

Sign up to be a member of the Seeds of Faith Garden for 2015. Come on down with a willing spirit for 10 hours.  Gardeners of all ages are invited.
