There are two Sunday school classes for youth, middle school and high school students. Both classes meet in the lower level of the church during the normal Sunday school hour (9:30AM Sunday Mornings)

Confirmation Class

A four month Confirmation Class is offered in three year grouping on Sunday mornings for our 6th - 8th grade youth, based on demand. During this time, the youth explore what it means to profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and join the church.

Youth Fellowship

Western Boulevard Presbyterian youth group meets Sunday Evenings from 6:30 PM until about 8:00 PM. The group is made up of Middle and High school students. Youth group meetings usually include a short program, and dinner. Pictured below are youth who participated in the Hanging of the Greens service in 2010.

Over the course of a year, the youth participate in worship, service, fellowship and fun. Topics relevant to the lives of the youth are incorporated into the Sunday night programs and discussions.

The youth did an outstanding job with the video report of their mission trip to New Orleans.  This was the program Wednesday Night September 1.  A BIG  "THANK YOU" TO EVERYONE WHO WENT TO NEW ORLEANS and all those who worked on the video.

The youth returned from their fifth trip to the Gulf Coast on June 26, 2010.  Twelve youth and 5 adults went to the Gulf Coast in 2010. The video presentation of the Mission Trip to New Orleans is on the Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church Facebook page.  Tune in now to this exciting video.  Thanks to Wesley Peede, Jack Reynolds, Becca Alcorn, Sarah Odum and all the other youth who had a part in making this video and in traveling to New Orleans and helping those in need.  You will need to login to Facebook to see the video.

Retreats and Mission Trips

Recently the youth of our church have been quite active in service projects.  Many youth helped with the  Stop Hunger Now Food packing event.   The picture on the right show several youth packing food bags.  In addition to local service projects the youth have gone on Mission Trips.    Prior to leaving for the 2010 Mission Trip, many of the youth helped with VBS.  In fact there were 16 youth who helped with VBS in 2010.  In some earlier years the youth of the church have participated in events such as the Montreat Youth Conference, Masanetta Middle School Conference, and Presbytery retreats.
