A four-month Confirmation Class is offered in three-year grouping on Sunday mornings for our 6th – 8th grade youth, based on demand. During this time, the youth explore what it means to profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and join the church. During this time, most youth make the decision to join the church. Short-term confirmation classes are offered by the pastor between the two to three-year offerings.
Youth in grades 6-12 meet each Sunday for a shared meal, fellowship and a program designed to enhance their recognition and understanding of God’s work in their lives and their work in the lives of others. This very active group assists in designing the syllabus for each semester. Meals are provided by parents and the programs are designed by the Youth Fellowship Coordinator. Youth attend several mission trips and retreats throughout the year.
The time and location of these meetings are publicized each week in an email from the Youth Fellowship Coordinator.

Western Boulevard youth are very active in mission projects. Week long trips each summer have taken them to New Orleans (3), Gulfport, MS, Toms River, NJ (3), Lumberton, NC, Summerton, NC, and Puerto Rico. We have been to Wilmington and Shallotte, NC on MLK weekends and worked with WARM (Wilmington Area Re-Building Ministry). On these trips, youth help restore and build homes, spend time worshiping together and, of course, just have fun.
WBPC youth attend several retreats throughout the year. We attend retreats at Camp Don Lee, Camp Willow Run, Massanetta Springs Conference Center, and Montreat Conference Center. These trips are packed with fun, fellowship, and spiritual formation! Contact Anna Richardson Raab for more information.
