Members of Western Boulevard and other local churches team up yearly to travel to Haiti and work with at the Yahve-Jire Orphanage. The Yahve-Jire Children’s Foundation currently houses nearly 20 children whose families are not able to care for them. The Foundation is run by five individuals who provide a home, food, academic and Christian education for the children. Their goal is to build a larger facility to house 100 children, a library, a pastor’s residence, and dorms for visiting mission teams.

Western Boulevard sponsored our first youth-led intergenerational mission trip to Puerto Rico from June 23-July 2, 2019
High school youth travel domestically each summer for a construction-related mission trip. Week long trips each summer have taken them to New Orleans (3), Gulfport MS, Toms River NJ (3), Lumberton NC, Summerton NC And Puerto Rico. We have been to Wilmington and Shallotte NC on MLK weekends and worked with WARM (Wilmington Area Re-Building Ministry). Contact Larry Shelton – firstname.lastname@example.org – with any questions.
August 5-8. WBPC members and friends ages 8-88 will be active daily in local mission activities serving our community and God. The cost is a modest $5 per person and $10 per family. We work all day and conclude with dinner at the church before heading home to sleep in our own beds!
